Deputy Commissioner's Message

The sole aim of education is to inculcate in students the right values; motivate them in the correct direction; make them proficient in various fields; and provide them an open platform from where they can launch themselves to fly high in the infinite universe. It should equip them to face the challenges of this complex world; should infuse in them the values like tolerance, compassion and above all empathy for the weak. According to Jean Piaget, “ The goal of education is not to increase the amount of knowledge but to create the possibilities for a child to invent and discover, to create men who are capable of doing new things.”
In this jet age of information and technology, each child has plenty of information at his/her finger tips. This situation makes the job of educational institutions even more challenging. Hence, it becomes the responsibility of the administrators, teachers, mentors and facilitators to enable the pupils to discern and receive, what is beneficial for them, the society, the nation and the entire humanity. Ever since its inception in 2012, Tinsukia Region has been moving ahead, with many remarkable achievements to its credit, despite many challenges along the way. Our earnest endeavor is to make learning enjoyable and meaningful; to adopt and incorporate the pedagogical changes; to integrate technology with learning; to develop critical thinking; to generate a quest for knowledge and provide a congenial atmosphere to develop the creativity of the learners.
With limitless ambition, soaring high becomes human nature but without proper training in human values, we may not be able to give them wings to take off independently. Information and human values should be harmoniously blended to produce true citizens committed to the service of humanity and the nation.
It is my firm belief that with right attitude and teamwork, Tinsukia Region will become a force to reckon with and the quest for excellence may seem difficult but not impossible. In the words of the Colin Powell, “Disappointments, failures and setbacks are a normal part of the life-cycle of a unit or a company and what the leader has to do is constantly be up and say, ‘we have a problem, let’s go and get it’.”
